Well after three trips in two seperate days from Romeo DPW we where finally able to get the water turned on. It's great the DPW guy showed up with 2 or 3 more guys and everybody had a story about how "I remember working on a huge leak here!!" and "We Never thought anyone was going to buy this place!" Nothing like positive reinforcement. So every time they turned the water on we found a new leak!! My favorite one was under the sub-floor where they deceided to bring in the main line above ground in an uninsulated crawl space; genius! Myself and a couple DPW guys where standing there looking for leaks on the pipes themselves untill the silence was broken by a gushing sound comming from under our feet! On to the next project; electricity!
This is the basic setup for out water meter. Ball valves on either side of the meter and a low point drain.
Here is the service entrance and a custom service access.
All new copper, but notice how the previous owner "adjusted" the pipe to the right slightly. If that's not a peek into our future I'm not sure what is.
Tadah!!
